David Hockney was born on July 9, 1937 (79) at bradford, United Kingdom. He moved to California in 1966. In the 1970s is when he started to do his pool art in LA. He then started to paint interiors and exteriors of homes. He is a painter/photographer. He likes to take a series of photos and then fixes them together so he could paint from the image. In 2011 pool more than a 1,000 British artists voted that he was the most influential British artist of all time.
What I did to create these artworks was hat I would use one of the componential rules and look for something that emulates it. Then I take a series of photos of the compositional rule that I'm using and take photos from different angles of the object. In photoshop we sized the picture 14" by 11" and then you start to create your image with 6 other photos. You can overlap them to make them look cool and connect with the rest of the photo. When you're done you can see multiple photos that if you weren't doing this project it would only take one photo to do it but by doing this it takes multiple photos to create one photo. Aftyer that you save as a photoshop just in case you need to fix something, then you merge the visible and save as a jpg and put both photos in the common drive.

1.I just like the style of Time Magazine and m,y pose match that of their magazines. I just like their style for their covers.
2.I emulated the pose and the black and white. Also the white background and the red lines. 3.I used different fonts and colors because thats what the other Time magazines did. 4.My setup was a gray blanket thing, a calumet Nova 32. Tori took the picture for me all I did was pose. 5. A strobe light is a light you hook up to your camera and every time it takes a photograph it flashes. You would use a strobe light to brighten the subject of the photo and you would use it by hooking up your camera with a cord to the strobe light. 6. Modeling light is a continuous light source while taking a photo. The purpose of this is to show the photographer how the lights are going to play against the other lights and where the shadows will fall. 7.A soft light diffuses light into soft, even light. It is used as a light modifier. 8. A reflector is a circular object that has reflecting surface. You use a reflector to direct light onto the subject. 9.A grey card is a card with 3 different trips of grey. Its purpose is to help produce consistent image exposure. 10. A radio trigger system is attached to the strobe light. It helps you Bluetooth and hook up your camera to it. Nicholas Hadjis
Mrs. Moncure Rancho Buena Vista High School 5/2/2017 Shrek Swamp I named my photo Shrek‘s Swamp because it looks like a swamp and Shrek is my favorite Disney movie. The photo was taken at the duck pond. The compositional rule I used was symmetrical balance. We used the Nikon D5300/18-140 mm lens camera. All I used to make this photo was a tripod and the camera that’s it. My photo falls in with the color photography division because it has lots of color that pops out and it was taken at the duck pond. Epson Glossy Photo Paper on the Epson P800 digital printer. Song:Trapped in a box by No Doubt.
'Trapped in a box, it distorts my vision, it closes my eyes" So how I did my photo is that I got a couple of photos from the duck pond, one of them was the background and I added some saturation to the water so it made it more darker. Then I added Madelin in and made her kind of bright to kind of make her a fairy and I used the brush tool to erase what I didn't need. After that I aded a glass box and I tilted it a certain way so it looks like its drowning and I erased some of the sides because they were white and it didn't look good. Then I aded my brother, I made him in that position because it went well with the song and the concept of the photo and he's sad because he's trapped. Finally I added my arm/hand to show that Madelin is coming to save the day and I change the fill of the arm/hand to make it look like its coming up under water to save him. Oh and how I got my brother in the photo I used the quick selection tool to copy and paste him into my photo, kinda how we did the mandalas. I also use the cloning technique to get some of the water and put it in the glass box to show that he's sinking and that water has breached the box. BeforeAfterBeforeAfter1.A mandala is an image similar to a tessellation based on the pattern, but it is in circular form. 2. I created these mandalas by using a circular template. You begin by using the magic wand tool and clicking on one section of the circle. After that you drag the section onto the photo you are going to use to make your mandala and pick which part of the photo you're going to use. Next you copy and paste your selected section onto the circular template. After that you duplicate the image and rotate it to fit in the next spot. After you line up the 2 images you merge the layer and duplicate it and continue doing this until the circle is complete. Finally you merge all the layers and save your image as a JPG and you're done. 3.What I like about this is that you can make different designs then you would doing a tessellation. The second one is my favorite, I really like the red and the design I made. 4.I struggled with making a cool backgrounds, I don't really like the backgrounds but it was the best I could do. 5.Do something different besides flowers.
